ANSWER

There is no specification set on this value. As units leave manufacturing, the range is usually between 16.0 and 17.0. If the energy value is outside this range, we would still recommend a thorough purge of the flow cell and reoptimization of the LED.

These messages sometimes occur at startup, most often because the flow cell was not thoroughly wetted and purged. This is
NOT a critical error. It is recommended that the flow cell be thoroughly flushed and purged, and the LED optimized the via the diagnostic menu.

This diagnostic displays the type of LED used (880 nm) and automatically sets the energy level of the internal LED. If too high or too low, the user will
receive an error message. This error message commonly appears when the detector has not been purged recently, or at the beginning of a new
analysis—typically when the flow cell experiences a mobile phase composition change. LED level can also change if the temperature of the internal
oven changes.
