ACQUITY BSM shows high delta psi above 8000 psi - WKB193795

SYMPTOMS

• Delta psi within 1% below 8000 psi
• Above 8000 psi, delta is 300 psi and there is retention time drift
• Dynamic leak test successful to vent valve and port 6 on the injection valve cartridge

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY UPLC BSM

CAUSE

Leaking from the pre-column filter assembly

FIX or WORKAROUND

Tighten the pre-column filter housing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The column heater is at 60 °C, so a very small leak is not evident.
