2707 Autosampler shows "not connected" status in Empower Run Samples - WKB18319

SYMPTOMS

• 2707 shows "not connected" status in Empower Run Samples
• Rebooting instruments does not resolve the issue
• OK? NO for 2707
• Received message "Destination host unreachable" when pinging IP of NIC card, 192.168.0.1

ENVIRONMENT

• 2707 Autosampler
• 1525 Pump
• 2489 UV/Vis Detector
• Empower 3

CAUSE

The internet was plugged into the switch box. The switch box was plugged into the instrument LAN card. The internet was causing communication issues between the instrument LAN card and the instruments.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Unplug the internet cable from the switch box.
2. Reboot the the computer.
3. Configure the instrument LAN card to the appropriate IP address, 192.168.0.1 with IPv4 enabled. Ping IP to verify connection.
4. Open Waters DHCP Server Configuration (C:Drive > Empower > Instruments > Waters DHCP Server Configuration). Go to Server > Configuration Wizard. Configure DHCP with the correct IP address. 
5. Reboot the PC and instruments in the proper order (see KCS 1507).
6. Instrument IP addresses will populate in DHCP and have a status of OK? YES in the instrument tab of node properties.
7. Run as normal.
