Alliance 2695 system fails RSD specification - WKB16262

SYMPTOMS

• RSD is about 3%, but the customer's spec is 2%
• Injection volumes are accurate

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module

CAUSE

Dirty system or inadequate purging injector

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Prime and purge solvent lines and injector several cycles.
2. Perform compression check, verify it passed.
3. (Optional) Perform weight injection accuracy check, verify it passed.
4. Perform 10 large-volume injections of methanol, followed by 10 large-volume injections of water.
5. Rerun standards to retest the %RSD.
