ACQUITY FTN communication failure in MassLynx - WKB14203

SYMPTOMS

• No control over the FTN in MassLynx

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• ACQUITY FTN (Flow Through Needle)

CAUSE

FTN was power cycled, which resulted in a communication failure.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Exit MassLynx.
2. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Instruments\Bin\StopACQUITYProcesses and double-click on it to execute it.
3. Open MassLynx.
4. If there is still a communication error, reset the component in the console by selecting Reset from the control drop-down menu.
5. If a red OK LED is present in the inlet editor, select Reset communication from the LC drop-down menu.
