Clogged solvent filter(s) causes solvent flow problems - WKB14066

SYMPTOMS

• When primed on line B, system runs for a short time but then stops with message "Lost Prime"
• Line A completely dry
• Other lines prime normally with acceptable psi
• "Lost Prime" doesn't occur during every run
• No solvent flows during a prime
• Replacing the check valves does not resolve the issue
• No solvent draws with a manual/dry prime

• Alliance HPLC System

CAUSE

Clogged solvent reservoir filter

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Replace the solvent line reservoir filter ( WAT025531).
2. Prime each line
3. Observe pressure
