Column Manager - Active power supply trips uninterruptible power supply (UPS) - WKB12495

SYMPTOMS

• The main circuit breaker trips when ACQUITY System is powered-on
• After resetting circuit breaker, breaker trips again as soon as the UPS is connected to main power
• Unplugging the load (ACQUITY System) from UPS enables normal power-up
• Process of elimination shows that the column manager module trips the UPS

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY Column Manager - Active (CM-A)
• ACQUITY Auxiliary Column Manager - Active (CM-Aux)

CAUSE

Faulty power supply

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the CM-A power supply (700005433 - POWER SUPPLY, CM-A).
