SM-FTN "String" error message displayed in Control Panel and Console - WKB1234

SYMPTOMS

• During initialization, the instrument triggers a red "String" error message and cannot be operated until the message is cleared by reset
• The message is not recorded in the log files

ENVIRONMENT

• H-Class SM-FTN

CAUSE

Faulty network card in host PC.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace network card in PC

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

"String" error is caused by communication failure between the device and ICS, and is displayed in Empower Run Samples and ACQUITY Console.
