Air bubble in 2695 sample syringe - WKB120305

SYMPTOMS

• Air bubble in sample syringe
• Replacing and purging the syringe do not resolve the issue

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module

CAUSE

Air is trapped in the flow path.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Purge the syringe from the diagnostics screen as follows:

1. On the Alliance screen, navigate to Diagnostics > Others > Motors and Valves.
2. Change Valves 1 and 3 to open position.
3. Change the needle wash position to stream.
4. Repeatedly move syringe to "Home" and "Empty" positions until the bubble dislodges.
5. Exit the Diagnostics page.
