It may be the mobile phase, sample preparation, the mobile phase replacement between runs, or the end method of the run.
The precautions are as follows:

• Filter both mobile phase and sample with a 0.2-µm filter.
• Do not flow the organic solvent directly on the line where the buffer passed; wash with water in between.
• If system will not be used for a while, wash off the buffer with water and replace it with organic solvent.
