Error on ACQUITY Sample Manager: Air sensor calibration out of range - WKB11851

SYMPTOMS

• "Air sensor calibration out of range" error when attempting to run "characterize needle and loop volume" from the ACQUITY Console after needle replacement
• New Volume Detection Device (VDD) installed using part number 700002867

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY Sample Manager

CAUSE

Volume Detection Device (VDD) was replaced but the air sensor was not calibrated.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Calibrate the air sensor, also known as the Volume Detection Device (VDD).
2. Calibration of the air sensor needs a service code. Please contact Waters Technical Service or your local service engineer.
