ANSWER

General updates (RI, UV, FLR, and QDa)

  • All projects are created in Empower 3 Service Release 1.
  • All reports have been updated cosmetically and are consistent across projects.
  • Custom fields that calculate Pass/Fail results include peak counts to ensure that all required peaks are found.
  • Documentation has been streamlined: Protocol documents contain setups, amounts, and procedures and the test descriptions and specifications document explains the tests performed.
  • A sample set method that contains fields to record test equipment information exists in the projects.
  • Manual OQ test results are generated when performed, rather than through the wizard.
  • Qualification Summary Report methods are available in the projects that report all the pass/fail results from the SQT result sets.
  • Test ranges have been expanded where applicable to bracket the functionality of the systems (i.e., injector linearity and accuracy injection volumes).
  • MP forms have been removed from the DVD and replaced with a Maintenance Procedure Record form.

RI

  • The ACQUITY Arc with RI sample kit is now used to allow for proper carryover testing according to the capability of the detector.
  • The column has been changed to the XBridge BEH C18 Column, 130Å, 3.5 µm, 4.6 mm X 50 mm (186003031).
  • Test injections have been replaced with System Readiness Check.
  • New Signal-to-Noise Test

FLR

  • Test injections have been replaced with System Readiness Check.
  • Detector Linearity has a fifth point added.

UV

  • UV sample kits have been changed to the ones that do not have propiophenone (3 mm – 186006695; 5 mm – 186009240; 10 mm – 186006682; 25mm – 186006694).
  • New UV 5-mm kit support (see part number above)
  • ELSD now has its own sample kit (186009241) to allow for consistent response on ELS, regardless of UV flow cell configuration.
  • Test Injections has been replaced with System Readiness Check.
  • There is a Detector Response Check that recommends an optimal injection volume for System Readiness Check and Detector Linearity.
  • New Signal-to-Noise Test

QDa

  • If configured with a UV detector, the system tests (i.e., injector linearity and accuracy or injector carryover) are performed using the UV detector.
  • All above mentioned UV flow cells are now supported with QDa.
  • Tests that were previously in the same sample set method are separated into their own methods.
  • A new dilution series is required that probes a greater linear range of the system.
  • Standard Mode and Performance Mode are supported in the same projects; the FSE must select the appropriate Sensitivity tests in the SQT wizard.

Note: APC, SQD, and TQD Qualification Projects were not updated with this revision.
