2695 Alliance error: Column temperature H/W fault (7) - WKB11362

SYMPTOMS
- When setting the column temperature on the Alliance or setting up your inlet method in Empower/MassLynx, the error message "Column temp H/W fault (7)" appears and temperature cannot be set.
- Error persists with a different power cable.
ENVIRONMENT
- Alliance HPLC System
- 2695 Separations Module
- 2795 Separations Module
CAUSE
"Column temperature h/w fault (7)" indicates that the column heater/cooler electronics have signaled an internal power failure.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Ensure that the column heater/cooler is plugged in and turned on (there is an on/off switch on the lower-right side of the column oven).
