"Cannot set flow at this time" error message when trying to set the flow on a 1515 pump - WKB10926

SYMPTOMS

• "Cannot set flow at this time" error message when trying to set the flow on a 1515 pump through Breeze 
• All instruments OK?  Yes in the node properties instruments tab, except for the 1515
• Cannot ping the IP address of the 1515; all other instruments ping and get a reply
• Changing the port on the Ethernet switch does not resolve the issue
• Unplugging the Ethernet switch and rebooting the instruments and the computer does not resolve the issue

ENVIRONMENT

• Breeze 2
• 1515 Isocratic HPLC Pump
• 2998 PDA Detector
• 2414 RI Detector
• Wyatt light scattering detector 
• Eight-port Ethernet switch 

CAUSE

Bad Ethernet cable

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the Ethernet cable.
