Flat peaks seen after changing lamp on a 2424 ELS Detector - WKB10039

SYMPTOMS

• 2424 lamp recently changed
• Peaks now show very high LSUs
• Peaks appear to be off the chart/flat-topped

ENVIRONMENT

• 2424 Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD)

CAUSE

The gain is set too high for the new lamp.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Run the Auto Gain feature on the detector.
