Where does DYNAMICS store crash recovery files? - WKB319101
ENVIRONMENT
- DYNAMICS
- DYNAMICS with Security Pack
- SQL Server
ANSWER
DYNAMICS stores crash recovery files in Documents\\Dynamics\\FileCache. If the application crashes, it checks this directory upon relaunch to recover files. For versions with the Security Pack, recovery data is stored in the SQL Server database. If the database connection is lost, files are temporarily saved in Documents\\Dynamics\\Recoverable. These are automatically imported into the database the next time DYNAMICS runs on the same machine.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Where does DYNAMICS store crash recovery files?
If your DYNAMICS crashes or stops during a run, DYNAMICS will automatically check for recovered files when you relaunch the application. DYNAMICS stores recovery files in the directory Documents\\Dynamics\\FileCache. If for some reason the files are not recovered, you can check this directory for the files. For DYNAMICS with Security Pack, the crash recovery data is stored in the SQL Server database. If there is a database connection loss, the files are stored in Documents\\Dynamics\\Recoverable. The next time DYNAMICS is run on that machine, the files in that directory are detected and automatically imported into the database.
