ANSWER
UNIFI promotable parameters are instrument parameters that are added to the sample list when using certain method templates.
These are in the main instrument analysis methods used for performance testing; examples would be when the Capillary and Cone Voltage are added to the sample list for an LC-MS analysis. Other examples might be wavelength for TUV detector and/or gradient tables.
UNIFI promotable parameters override those set in the saved instrument tuning parameters.
On a sample list view, it is easy to see if a "promotable parameter" column exists or not.
It is possible to manage these promotable parameters by adding or removing them from the sample list.
