Cannot install UNIFI Client Software because of existing Visual C++ component - WKB79988

SYMPTOMS

• An error occurs during installation of the Waters UNIFI software

• Cannot install UNIFI software

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI 1.9.4

CAUSE

An existing Visual C++ component prevents installation of the Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015 prerequisite.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Uninstall the current (later) version of Microsoft Visual Studio C++.

2. Rerun the UNIFI Client Software installation.
