How to address the UNIFI error "Column 1 active preheater configured but not detected" - WKB79021

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Address the UNIFI error "Column 1 active preheater configured but not detected" seen in the instrument console and in the column manager status window. (Column 1 active preheater is seated in the CM-A's upper-left position. Reseating the active preheater at the same position, replacing the active preheater,Address  and replacing the retainer clip have no effect.)

ENVIRONMENT

  • UNIFI 1.9.4 Workstation
  • Windows 10 LTSB 1607
  • ACQUITY UPLC CM-A

PROCEDURE

  1. Remove active preheater column 1 from the retainer at the upper-left position.
  2. Reseat active preheater column 1 in the upper-right position.
  3. Power cycle the CM-A.
  4. Reseat active preheater column 1 back in the original upper-left position.
  5. Power cycle the CM-A.
  6. The error message should disappear if the issue is solved.
