How to export and import UEP item within UNIFI or waters_connect- WKB6563

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

This is the procedure for how to Export, and then Import data into UNIFI

ENVIRONMENT

  • UNIFI 
  • waters_connect

PROCEDURE

  • Export data
  1. To export and create a .UEP file (Unifi Export Package), from the Explorer, select the data to export and then, by right clicking, choose "Export" to and "Export package file (*.uep)...".
  2. In the newly opened window, select the destination folder where you want to save your. UEP file (ensure it is a local drive location) then click on "Export".
  3. Once the .UEP is saved, you can share that file or copy it in another computer.
  • Import data
  1. From the "My Work" section in UNIFI or from the Explorer, select "Import UNIFI data".
  2. Browse to the folder where the .UEP file is located, specify a location in the Oracle database where you want to have the data and then click on "Import".

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The export will fail and pop up unexpected error (see below as an example) if the export location is a network drive. If so, ensure the export location is on local drive and try again.
