Instrument stuck in Source Standby - WKB1811

SYMPTOMS

• Instrument stuck in Source Standby
• Can control API and Collision gases
• Cannot switch to either Operate or Full Standby
• Electronics restart does not resolve

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI 1.8
• Xevo G2 XS Tof (but could conceivably affect other MS systems)

CAUSE

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Take system offline (in Device Management/Instrument Systems tab).
2. In the Device Management/Workstation section, right-click the workstation device and choose Reset Device.
3. Bring system online.
4. You can now switch MS to Operate or Full Standby.
