SYMPTOMS
- WDM full backup fails with log error "RMAN-10002: ORACLE error:ORA-28056:Writing Audit records to Windows event log failed"
ENVIRONMENT
- UNIFI Workstation
CAUSE
Oracle is unable to write to the Windows application event log.
FIX or WORKAROUND
Try the following:
- Clear the application event log of Windows so that the size of the event log is free. (There is an option for "save and clear" in Windows.)
- Apply the fix reported in Mandatory setting change for Windows 10 PCs to enable proper functionality - WKB85060.
