UNIFI sample list issue when acquiring selected samples - WKB11239

Article number: 11239

SYMPTOMS

  • The samples selected are not always the ones acquired
  • When using multiple plates in a sample list and then selecting individual, multiple, or a section of samples, the samples may not be acquired as selected

Customers have reported several different behaviors after selecting multi-plate sample lists for acquisition:

    • User selects multiple samples over multiple plates and then runs selected samples; not all of the selected samples are acquired

    • User selects several samples but chooses to run all samples; not all of the samples are acquired.

  • When selecting samples from a single plate only, or when running a defined selection of sample rows from multiple plates via the play button at the top of the page, the acquisition works correctly

ENVIRONMENT

  • UNIFI 1.8
  • UNIFI 1.8 SR2
  • UNIFI 1.9 SR4
  • Multiple sample trays

CAUSE

A bug in UNIFI

FIX or WORKAROUND

Or

Modify the sample list so the samples are extracted using a single plate instead of multiple plates.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

CR 213311 was raised against UNIFI 1.8_2. But up to UNIFI 1.9 SR4 this issue has not been fixed.

Note: Some users have reported this issue after upgrading the Vion IMS QToF Driver. However, the fault lies in UNIFI, not in the Vion driver.
