With Agilent ICF 3.0, Column Compensation changes after saving the instrument method for a 7890 with FID - WKB46823

SYMPTOMS

• The Column Compensation for the FID changes to Column Compensation Curve #2 after saving the instrument method with "Nothing" selected
• The Column Compensation for the FID changes to Column Compensation Curve #1 after saving the instrument method with Compensation Curve #2 selected
• Same issues duplicated with in-house system

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Feature Release 4
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF) 3.0
• Agilent 7890 GC

CAUSE

Defect with A.02.04

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. This does not happen with A.02.05.  Upgrade to Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF) Update A.02.05.

or

2.  Delete the default curve on the front panel of the 7890.
