SYMPTOMS
Mass spectrometer does not appear in MS Console during standalone install.
ENVIRONMENT
- Xevo TQ-XS
- Xevo TQ-S
- Synapt XS
- Xevo G2-XS
- Xevo G3 QTof
- Any MS standalone
CAUSE
You need to install Instrument Control Software (ICS) even though it is a standalone MS install.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Micromass Utilities\ICOP and run the Setup to install ICSs.
- Restart the host PC.
Note: The MassLynx 4.2 Installation and Configuration Guide recommends you use "typical Install" when loading ICS driver packs as this ensures the Stand-alone Console is installed and the drivers are loaded in the tested order and configuration.
