Xevo TQ-XS does not appear in MS Console during standalone install - WKB29933

SYMPTOMS

Mass spectrometer does not appear in MS Console during standalone install.

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-XS
• Xevo TQ-S
• Synapt XS
• Xevo G2-XS
• Xevo G3 QTof
• Any MS standalone

CAUSE

You need to install Instrument Control Software (ICS) even though it is a standalone MS install.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Micromass Utilities\ICOP and run the Setup to install ICSs.
2. Restart the host PC.

Note: Full "Typical Installation" of all ICSs is not required. The mass spectrometer appears in the console if only BSM and SM ICSs are installed.
