How to configure Startup Shutdown method in waters_connect/UNIFI - WKB261014

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Configure and setup Startup Shutdown method in waters_connect/UNIFI.

ENVIRONMENT

• waters_connect

PROCEDURE

1. Open Device Management

   1. In current releases of waters_connect Device Management is a standalone app opened directly from the waters_connect Hub

   2. In early versions of waters_connect device management was still part of the UNIFI app. If the Device Management tile is not present in the Hub

      1. Open UNIFI from the waters_connect Hub.

         

      2. In the UNIFI app, select Administration.

1. 1. 3. In UNIFI > Administration select Device Management

2. In Device Management select Instrument System [1]  then [Selected system] > Modify [2].

3. Under Modify view, click the “Startup Shutdown” tab.

   

4. Pick a method to modify, or create a new one.

5. Scroll down for the scheduled time to run the Startup OR Shutdown.    

6. [OPTIONAL] Run Startup ONLY. Note the Shutdown hour is unavailable.

7. To Modify or Set the specific parameters for each component for the Shutdown method, select the method in the pull down (circled in RED) and click on the Modify button on the right (highlighted in YELLOW)
8. Select Startup or Shutdown (highlighted in YELLOW) from the menu. Then select the each component (circled in RED/Green) on the system list and made the appropriate changes to the method in the center panel. (See example for the Mass Spec and Solvent Manager below) 
9. Save the method.
