OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Make the waters_connect shortcut created at installation visible to the user when logged in with a different account.        

ENVIRONMENT

• waters_connect client 
• waters_connect workstation 

PROCEDURE

1. Copy the icon and the shortcut to a non-user related location, such as a "shortcut" folder created on the C: drive.
2. Copy the shortcut to C:\Users\Public\Desktop.
3. Log in as any user other than the installing user.
4. Check the shortcut and assign the icon from either the source location or the location created in step 2.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The icon source location is <install_drive>:\Program Files\Waters\Application Hub Server\wwwroot\favicon.ico.
