ACQUITY detector "Communication failure" error with Chromeleon software - WKB198381

  • ACQUITY console displays communication failure
  • Resetting from console does not resolve the issue

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Delete the module component IP addresses within Waters DHCP Server Configuration. (Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Waters Instruments\Waters DHCP Server Configuration and open the application.)
  2. Power cycle the detector module on ACQUITY system and restart the acquisition computer.
  3. Log in to computer and open Waters DHCP Server Configuration.
  4. Power-on the detector module and verify that the IP address populates in Waters DHCP Server Configuration.
  5. Open Chromeleon software and verify communication.
