Error "[NG14865] Volume information in database does not match with that of the device" when restoring files from NuGenesis - WKB954

SYMPTOMS

• Restoring files from NuGenesis SDMS fails with the following message:
  • [NG14865] Volume information in database does not match with that of the device.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS SR2
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS FR1
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS SR1

CAUSE

The SDMS software version installed on the client machine does not match the SDMS software on the server.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Install the NuGenesis software update—Service Release 1, Feature Release 1, or Service Release 2—on the client machine, so that it matches the SDMS version on the server.
