HTTP error 401.2 "Unauthorized" appears when loading NuGenesis WebVision - WKB83988

SYMPTOMS

• The following error message appears when browsing to SDMS WebVision:

• "HTTP Error 401.2 - Unauthorized
  You are not authorized to view this page due to invalid authentication headers."

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

The IIS Manager Default - Web Site (IIS - Authentication) account is incorrect or changes password.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager
2. Select Sites > Default Web Site > Select 'Authentication' under IIS
3. Right click on "Anonymous Authentication", click Edit
4. Set the "Specific user" account using the RPC service account
5. Restart IIS
