How to change the timeout value in the NuGenesis LMS client - WKB73480

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Increase the timeout value for the NuGenesis LMS client so that it waits for a longer period of time for a response from the LMS server.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 LMS
• NuGenesis 8 LMS
• NuGenesis 8 ELN

PROCEDURE

1. Edit the file eln.exe.config in the NuGenesis LMS client folder (example: Drive:\Program Files\Waters\NuGenesis LMS\eln.exe.config).
2. Look for the following line in the file:
   • <add key="serviceTimeout" value="10">
3. Set a larger value in the file for the service timeout.
4. Save and close the file.
5. Restart the LMS client for the new timeout to go into effect.
