Error message appears when releasing a request or selecting RequestReport in NuGenesis LMS - WKB57760

SYMPTOMS

• A long error message appears in the NuGenesis LMS client when releasing a request or selecting "RequestReport" from the Print menu. The relevant message text:
  • original exception: ... Error evaluating expression for source text: $F{AMOUNT}+$F{UNIT}
• The report is not displayed

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 LMS
• NuGenesis 8 LMS
• The selected request's product category uses the default report template "RequestReport", either explicitly by selecting it in the category or implicitly by leaving the request report selection empty

CAUSE

A null value for the amount or unit metadata for one or more samples in the test request

FIX or WORKAROUND

• Defect report CRI-215 was filed for this issue.
• Restore the default template files for this report:
  1. Log in to NuGenesis LMS with read/write permissions on Reports
  2. Click LMS Main Menu > Administration
  3. Click the Reports button
  4. Select "RequestReport" in the list
  5. Click the button: Restore default report template and parameters
