OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Remove excess entries from the NuGenesis LMS Inbox.
ENVIRONMENT
- NuGenesis 9 LMS
- NuGenesis 8 LMS
PROCEDURE
- Enable the "Delete old notification records" background job in the LMS system configuration. This job deletes notifications that are older than X days, as long as the notifications are marked as read.
- Ensure that any LMSbackground jobs that send notifications run on a schedule of, at most, once per day.
- To remove entries through the LMS client, click the LMS main menu > My Work > Inbox, press Select All, and delete (or mark them as read so they will be removed by the background job).
- To remove notifications manually via SQL scripts, contact Waters technical support for assistance.
