The NuGenesis File Capture Template builder freezes when trying to edit Empower template lines - WKB47630

SYMPTOMS

• The NuGenesis File Capture Template builder freezes while editing a Waters Empower Project capture template line

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 Data Adapters Release 1 or later

CAUSE

The Empower client / Waters SDMS Empower DA Data Exchange Service is busy backing up an Empower project to NuGenesis.
The File Capture Template line using Empower EVS needs to connect to the Waters SDMS Empower DA Data Exchange Service before changing to edit mode. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Wait for the Empower client to finish the Empower backup.
   .
   Or
    
2.  Manually stop the Empower archive by stopping the AA module and restarting Waters SDMS Empower DA Data Exchange Service.
