Error "NG14529 ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace" in NuGenesis SDMS mark_bad files - WKB3451

SYMPTOMS

• Mark_bad files exist in the TE_TEMP folder on the NuGenesis server or print clients
• The following error message appears in the mark_bad files:
  • ErrorString1=14529:1:3549:[NG14529] ODBC driver reports error:      : [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

The Oracle tablespace for the SDMS project does not have enough space to store the data.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Contact NuGenesis Support to assist in extending the Oracle tablespace.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In NuGenesis 8 and 9, each project has its own tablespace in Oracle; thus, it may be possible to print without errors to one project but get ORA-01658 (or similar) errors when printing to other projects.
