Error "Reboot Required" appears when installing NuGenesis SDMS software - WKB31544

SYMPTOMS

• The following message appears when installing NuGenesis SDMS software:
  • NuGenesis Pre-Installation Qualification has reported an error:
    (ERROR) Reboot Required: The Windows operating system currently has files that are pending deletion and/or renaming. Please reboot the system so that the target environment is stabilized. The setup will now terminate.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

A software installation package—part of either NuGenesis SDMS or another software system—has scheduled one or more files to be deleted at the next system restart.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Restart the machine so that Windows can perform the pending file renames or deletions.
