Cannot unlock documents in NuGenesis LMS - WKB275527

SYMPTOMS

• When opening a locked document, a message box says that the document is locked, and the user has no option to unlock it
• The "Lock" option does not appear in the Document menu

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9.0.2 Hotfix 4+
• NuGenesis 9.1 Hotfix 3+
• NuGenesis 9.3
• The "Forbid discard of changes" setting is enabled in NuGenesis LMS

CAUSE

Starting with the NuGenesis versions listed above, "Forbid discard of changes" disables the Lock/Unlock option on the Document menu.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Disable "Forbid discard of changes".
2. Open the document.
3. Click the document menu > Lock to clear the document lock.
4. Re-enable "Forbid discard of changes".
