CAUSE

A software defect

FIX or WORKAROUND

  • Software change request (SCR) #18225 was filed for this issue.
  • This issue was fixed in NuGenesis 8 SR2 and NuGenesis 9
  • Apply the hotfix:
    1. Download the updated file (NG80MSLM.dll) to the file capture server(s) and to all machines where the NuGenesis Transfer App is installed.
    2. Stop the NuGenesis RPC 8.0 service and all NuGenesis programs.
      • For Citrix servers, log off all other user sessions, to ensure that any SDMS programs they may have running are closed.
    3. Rename the file C:\Windows\syswow64\NG80MSLM.dll to NG80MSLM.sr1 or NG80MSLM.fr1, as appropriate.
    4. Copy the hotfixed NG80MSLM.dll into C:\Windows\syswow64.
    5. Restart the NuGenesis RPC 8.0 service.
