How to disable the Server and X-Powered-By HTTP headers in NuGenesis LMS - WKB222867

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Remove the "Server" and "X-Powered-By" headers in the HTTP responses sent by NuGenesis LMS servers.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 LMS

PROCEDURE

1. Open the following file in Notepad (recommend running Notepad as administrator):
   • Drive:\WatersLMSServer\WildFly-11.0.0.Final\standalone\configuration\nugenesis-lms.xml
2. Delete or comment out the following lines (they should be below the <host> tag):
   • <filter-ref name="server-header"/>
   • <filter-ref name="x-powered-by-header"/>
3. Save and close the file.
4. Restart the service "NuGenesis LMS Server".
