Error: [NG24079] The user has not been assigned the privilege to run VISION on this server" - WKB21180

SYMPTOMS

• When attempting to launch and log in to the WebVision URL, the following error appears:
  • "[NG24079] The user has not been assigned the privilege to Run VISION on this server."

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

The NuGenesis username being used to log in to Vision does not have the NuGenesis global permission of "Run Vision".

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Log in to SDMS Administrator as a NuGenesis user with appropriate Admin privileges.  
2. Under Privileges > Server > Global Privileges > Run Programs tab, find the "Run Vision" column in the privilege grid. 
3. Using this column, you can assign a NuGenesis user the right to "Run Vision". 
4. Alternatively, assign the end user to a Group that has rights to "Run Vision".
