How to enable NuGenesis UNIFY print driver options - WKB18037

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

1. Enable hidden options within the NuGenesis UNIFY print driver in order to fix problems with reports from specific applications.
2. List the available UNIFY driver options.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 SDMS
• NuGenesis 9 SDMS

PROCEDURE

1. Get the name of the printing application for the relevant reports.
2. Open regedit and browse to the following key:
   • NuGenesis 8: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NuGenesis Technologies Corp.\NuGenesis\8.0\Driver
   • NuGenesis 9: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NuGenesis Technologies Corp.\NuGenesis\Driver
3. Each driver option is a subkey.
4. To enable an option for a specific application, create a subkey below the key for the driver option, and name the subkey with the Printed By value. For example, to enable character-spacing recalculation for Notepad in NuGenesis 8, create the following key:
   • HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NuGenesis Technologies Corp.\NuGenesis\8.0\Driver\charSpaceRecalc\Microsoft NotePad for Windows
5. Create a DWORD entry in the "Microsoft NotePad for Windows" key and name it "Fixed". Set the value of that key to 1.
6. Reprint the report to UNIFY.
