How to get font information from NuGenesis Preview - WKB14528

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Obtain information about the fonts used in NuGenesis SDMS Preview.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 and 9 SDMS

PROCEDURE

1. Log in to SDMS WebVision or the SDMS Project Browser in NuGenesis LMS and open a print project and view.
2. Select a record and click to open it in NuGenesis Preview.
3. Press Control-F or click Edit menu > Find to open the Find dialog box.
4. Type the following text into the Find box:
   • :regexp="*"
5. Press Enter to run the search. (Preview selects the first block of text in the report.)
6. Repeat the search until the text of interest is highlighted.
7. Change the text in the Find box as follows:
   • :regexp="f"
8. Preview displays a dialog box with information about the font and its properties as used for the selected text.
9. Repeat steps 4 through 8 for each block of text that is of interest. Record the font names and sizes as reported in the dialog box.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This font information can be used in UNIFY Font Replacements if the font or fonts used in the original report are unreadable. UNIFY can replace the fonts with different ones in order to improve the report's readability.
