MassLynx and OALogin fail on a regular basis - WKB91193

SYMPTOMS

• MassLynx fails to respond
• OALogin stops working and fails to respond
• No error messages
• Overnight runs stop and hang

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• Antivirus software
• OALogin
• OAToolkit

CAUSE

Antivirus software scanning causes the system to fail.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Set antivirus software exclusions to completely exclude all MassLynx activities.
2. Stop the antivirus software from performing full scans during MassLynx acquisitions.
3. Stop the antivirus software from performing automatic updates.

Note: MassLynx is tested only with Symantec antivirus software and exclusions must be set.
