In the MassLynx inlet method editor and in the MS console, flow controls are grayed out (unavailable) - WKB8584

SYMPTOMS

• Flow controls are grayed out (unavailable) in both the MS console and the inlet method editor.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1 SCN 873
• nanoACQUITY UPLC
• Xevo QTof

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Exit all software.
2. Browse to C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Waters Instruments\Bin and run the StopACQUITYProcesses.cmd.
3. Shut down the PC.
4. Turn off all ACQUITY components.
5. Wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the PC.
6. Log in to Windows using the user's Windows account and allow the PC to initialize.
7. First turn on the Sample Manager, and then turn on all the other modules.
8. Wait for the pump and the autosampler to finish their initialization procedures (each will have a solid green power LED), and then start MassLynx.
9. Test for control.
