How do I inject from top to bottom of my plate in MassLynx? - WKB78706

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Inject samples in vertical instead of horizontal sequence using MassLynx.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager 
• ACQUITY UPLC Sample Manager - Flow Through Needle

PROCEDURE

1. Open the inlet method in MassLynx.
2. Select Acquity Sampler > Plate Generator.
3. Use the "Previous Rack" or "Next Rack" buttons to bring up the plate that will be used.
4. Under Grid Reference, click the down arrow on the Referencing drop-down menu.
5. Select Sequential Discontinuous (make sure the Horizontal First check box is cleared).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The numbering format for the Bottle column on the MassLynx sample list will be Plate Number:Well Number. For example, to inject well/vial 7 on plate 1, input 1:7.
