Acquiring from the tune page and getting no data in the chromatogram window in MassLynx - WKB7858

SYMPTOMS

• Started a tune page or sample list acquisition and got nothing in the chromatogram window.
• Created the data folder, but the chromatogram pulls up no data.
• The scan increment increases for each scan, but there is nothing in the chromatogram window. 
• File names with a . in them the data folder are missing the .raw extension.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1

CAUSE

• The file name is greater than 22 characters.
• The file name has . or + or - in it. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Use file names connected with _ instead of +  -  . ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) =
2. Keep the file names under 22 characters in length.
