Error: Unable to open Pre Search files for Library NIST - WKB584

SYMPTOMS

• Error message when attempting to search NIST libraries:

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1
• NIST 2011

CAUSE

The search method in the Library Search List window was not defined to do NIST searching.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. In the main MassLynx window, enable the shortcuts.
2. Go to the Tools menu.
3. Select Search Library.
4. A Library window appears; go to its File menu.
5. Select Search List.
6. Set Search Method to NIST.
7. Add the NIST libraries you need to the Library Search List section.
8. Select OK to exit.
