ChroTool window not visible in Masslynx - WKB54271

SYMPTOMS

• ChroTool window appears not to open

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx

CAUSE

Corrupt registry entry causes window to open off-screen.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close MassLynx.

2. Run Regedit (Start > Run > Regedit or Start > [Search box] > Regedit).

3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Micromass\ChroTool\WindowSettings.  

4. Delete any subfolders—usually "Normal", but there may be others.

5. Reopen MassLynx and test.  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

On SCN1046 it was found this key does not exist, in this case search 'chrotool' and delete / edit the window positions.
