After activating the Waters Fraction Collector 3, the sample list pauses - WKB3577

SYMPTOMS

• Inlet method Ready and OK lights are green
• System Status Ready light is green
• Activate the collection system
• Sample list pauses; can click Pause, but immediately pauses again
• No error messages

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1; no MS
• FractionLynx
• Waters Fraction Collector (WFC3 or 2767)

CAUSE

WFC3 bed is hung up.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Reset the beds:

1. Open FractionLynx.
2. Click Collection Control.
3. Select Control > Reset Beds.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If emergency collection is used, you will need to reset the beds.
