PDA detector does not start acquiring upon sample injection - WKB30552

SYMPTOMS

• PDA detector does not start acquiring data upon injection.
• MassLynx reloaded on new PC.
• ZQ2000 starts data acquisition as expected.
• Found: Under Inlet Method > Tools > Instrument Configuration > Events and Trigger, the page to set Trigger by Contact Closure or Software is missing.
• Found: Inlet configured with ACQUITY 2996 detector.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx 4.1
• 2996 PDA Detector

CAUSE

Incorrect detector selected in the Inlet Configuration.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open Inlet Method.
2. Go to Tools > Instrument Configuration.
3. Click Configure.
4. Step through the wizard to Configure Detectors page.
5. Remove ACQUITY 2996.
6. Add Waters 996 PDA.
7. Complete the Wizard.
8. Click Finish to close the Instrument Configuration dialog.
